I started out working night shift in the emergency room. I helped register patients and put charts together for them. Once the charts were turned in by the nurses I would enter the charges into the computer system. I also would help the nurses clean room and stalk items when they were busy. I would answer phones for the whole hospital after business hours. I also had the task of collecting copays when needed. I have also helped out in the surgery department. I did clerical work such as scheduling surgeries and answering phones. I would also help room patients and give them a gown/blanket to get started with. I was also responsible for helping order items from materials or staples for the surgery department.
