Summary

I cannot calculate the exact number of years of experience I have in the medical field. I started to work as a nursing assistant in 1985 after I graduated high school. I worked at Crossville Nursing Home while attending college at Snead State Community College. With full disclosure, the dates of employment I listed with Attalla Healthcare and Marshall Manor Nursing Home are probably not accurate, as it has been so long ago. I stayed home with my 2 daughters while they were in school and after I graduated from nursing school, I had 5 grandchildren born in 5 years, so I stayed home and helped with them. I did graduate with my Associates Degree in Registered Nursing, but I have not passed the NCLEX exam. My grandchildren are all now in school, so I decided to go back to work.

I was blessed with the opportunity to come to work for Pulmonary & Sleep Associates and have been here 13 months. I love my job, but I am looking for advancement. I am a dedicated medical assistant skilled with technical, clerical and patient support and strong interpersonal communication with a God-given talent of effectively dealing with patients and staff alike. I love people! I have a detailed understanding of the medical sector and regulatory obligations concerning it. I am also a personable medical assistant bringing at least 3 years of hands-on experience balancing problematic administrative and clinical duties to achieve patient satisfaction. I offer a thorough understanding of the medical registration process and procedures to streamline client processing. I strive to be a compassionate and respectful collaborator, recognized for delivering high-quality healthcare and excellent customer service. My patients and coworkers know me as empathetic, effective and motivated. I have a detailed understanding of protocols governing medical test preparation and documentation. I also have vital experience for processing medical and insurance claims.

I would appreciate the opportunity to talk with you and get to know what you expect out of the person who is assigned this position!
