Objectives: To obtain a Dental Assistant role with an established Dental Practice in the Philadelphia Area. Looking for an opportunity which will allow for growth and the ability to build upon my current experience. I am a self-starter, people person, who is motivated. My ability to multitask and deal with the pressures of a fast pace environment, allow me to be a valuable asset to your office. I am also office lead and go to person when questions or issues may arise. Additionally, I train all new employees and dental assistants. Below will outline my 7 years’ experience and skills. Reliable Dental Assistant with 7+ years of experience efficiently handling administrative tasks and assisting chairside with dental procedures. Expert in assisting with four -handed procedures, setting up exam rooms, taking dental radiographs, using my time efficiently making sure the office and all other staff members need any help of some kind, while also doing my job assisting the dentist. Team-focused with commitment to providing exceptional care to all patients. Skilled at taking dental x-rays, preparing dental impressions and assisting dental hygienists and dentists. Expert at creating and maintaining clean and sterile environments. I also was in charge of our dental offices social media page, coming up with contests for pts; etc (which the patients really loved)
I have learned so much over the last 7 years at this office but I have also done some things that I am very proud of. After only working there 2 months I was already promoted to Lead Assistant. I mentored over 7 dental assistants. I negotiated with suppliers and ordered inventories and supplies in bulk, saving office thousands of dollars. I learned every single aspect of the way that office ran so I could help in any way possible. By far though, I would have to say my biggest accomplishment was getting to know all of my patients on a very personal level. I have met all different kinds of people through all different walks of life. When you meet a patient for the first time and they are hiding their mouth with their hand or trying to hide their teeth because they are embarrassed, getting to be a part of fixing their teeth and literally changing that person's life, that's not just an accomplishment. I feel like that is the best feeling in the entire world.
