With over twenty-two years of successful experience in the classroom, and after serving in the leadership capacity at various levels on and off campus, I am eager to use my knowledge and experience to further serve the teaching community as an educational leader. I am qualified to make decisions and advise large groups of professional educators. I am eager to promote the mission, vision and beliefs of the school to which I am assigned. In addition to my daily duties and responsibilities with students and classes, I have been the Connections Department Head for over ten years. This position requires overseeing a staff of thirteen educators. I coordinate sub positions, supervise assigned duties and responsibilities, assist with evaluation information when asked, create and implement behavior interventions, provide Virtual Instruction Training, and deliver staff development or support where needed to all connections staff. I have also served on the Madras School Improvement Leadership Team for more than ten years. This team focuses its annual efforts on analyzing assessment results and improving student achievement. In addition, I have been Team Leader of the Music, Physical Education and Health staff. This position allows me to further support colleagues with behavior interventions, special education modifications, mentoring new teachers, and instructional strategies for challenging student situations. I have assisted counselors and leadership with the administration of standardized testing, and been the sixth grade lead for these events as well. I have assisted with the organization, and supervised, multiple fund-raising and educational opportunities through my duties as department head.

  • DelivJessicag comments based on knowledge of my content area during and following each performance (individual and group) and creating overall rating
  • Maintaining dialogue based on expertise with other adjudicators before, during and following each event

  • Guided numerous musicians during rehearsals, performances, and recording sessions. I created the high school orchestra programs at McIntosh High School, Fayette County High School and Starr's Mill High School during my eight years on staff with Fayette County schools.
