As the Associate manager at a Flagship location, the highest volume store in the company (35 million) I am responsible for ensuring the daily success of the men's floor. Managing a staff of 80+ employees on a floor that grosses over 10 million for the building. As a high level manager in the building I sometimes act as the Building Leader on Duty (BLOD) ensuring that the store meets its daily goals. On the men's floor I am responsible for driving service, sales and rewards/brand credit card acquisitions; ensuring the compliance of company policies and procedures; ensuring that the floor was set to company standard including all marketing campaigns; reviewing reports daily to make the best decision about flexing merchandise based on sales; responding to and resolving customer grievances; monitoring daily payroll planning and adjusting shift schedules accordingly; anticipating staffing needs and conducting interviews for associates and management positions; developing employees for increased effectiveness; and evaluating employee performance against company standard.

As the Associate Manager I assisted the General Manager in attracting hiring, training and developing all levels of associates including sales team stock supervisors and assistant managers. I assisted the store in meeting daily sales goals operations and human resources objectives through execution, coaching and accountability. I also was acting HOS when my GM was out on maternity leave. I started as a stock supervisor at a 15 million location then promoted to assistant manager to a 6 million location. I was promoted to Associate manager at Gap (non outlet) 3 million location then transitioned back to outlet when position was available.
