A good place to start this process involves reviewing resume samples for your industry. By looking at these samples, you can get a better feel for how to format your own document and the type of information it should include.
Once you've looked at a few samples, you may want to select a template to use for your resume. If you go the template route, simply input your personal information, including your skills and work experience, into the template.
As you write your resume, make sure you include plenty of keyword-rich phrases throughout. This will help an applicant tracking system identify you as a good candidate and move your resume onto the next phase of review. To identify the industry-related words and phrases you use, go through the job posting and figure out which keywords you can incorporate into your resume.
