Being a utility worker at Owens corning roofing department I had to learn and develop the ability to make shingles. Making sure the quality of the shingles are up to par and the bundles are correct. Ability to clear up machine jams and knowing what are causing the jams and how can they be fixed. Staying alert at all times making sure there are no bad bundles of shingles that is gonna go through the conveyer lines. Able to properly lift the correct way bundles of shingles with a partner. Helping the laminator if the line breaks down and get it back up and running along with helping others that are in need. Mandatory to always wear gloves, face mask/goggles, hard hat, steel toe shoes, and uniforms to stay safe. Every 30 minutes we grab 2 bundles of shingles from A side and B side, weight them, and record on the computer. Every 15 minutes we check the shingle from front side to back side to ensure the quality and that there are no signs of bleed through, oozing, contamination, stickers, or any other unusual signs of bad quality. When the shift is over we clean our work area the best way we can such as shoveling dirt. We then notify the next shit to as how our shift ran.
Working in the pick, pack, and ship department of Kelly services incorporation, we ensure to give our customers the best care of their products such as contact lenses. We make sure to pick the correct products, placing them in the right trays or bins and getting them where they need to go. Packing the products the correct way, double checking making sure the quantity and the right name of the brand matches the order. Observing the products very thoroughly to make sure there is no damage or dents on the contact lenses or the box before putting a shipping label on them and shipping them out. Also we have to locate the right products in the right place to minimize mistakes and making a wrong pick of the products. When the totes are placed on the conveyer belt and arrives at the pack station we grab a tote, scan the barcode on the tote then we Scan each products one by one ensuring the correct amount that is in that tote and making sure the SKU number matches the product based on the order of our customers. In addition after scanning all products and the order is complete we properly place the contact lenses in the right size box neatly before shipping them out. We also check the lane whether if it's empty and load the channels when it's running low. We make sure each product is not expired or if it is out of stock and if it is then we will notify our controller or a lead. I also take out pallet boxes if it's empty with a pallet jack and restocking it, also taking bubble wraps and other waste to the right bins and disposing them correctly. Finally, at the end of each rotation and at the end of the day I make sure that my work area is neat, organized and replenished to get ready for the next day.
Responsible for assembling dialysis machine and making sure the equipment is sanitize before and after treatment. Before handling a patient I make sure to get their pre-weight, ask them how are they and what they have been consuming prior to their treatment as well as observing them if they have any bruises, cuts, swelling, or any other ailment they are feeling. After checking their vitals, blood pressure and making sure they are fine I then clean their arm site very thoroughly then Cannulate the patients arm with the right size needles, after the cannulation is done I make sure the blood flow is running smooth and then I call the nurse if thepatient needs heparin or any other medicines before their treatment starts. I input the right numbers in the dialysis machine making sure and correct how much amount of fluid needs to be removed from the patient during their treatment. After all of that is complete, I hook the patient up onto the machine then I set up the right blood flow for the patient, also I ask them if they feel any stinging or burning sensation in their cannulation site. After that I take their vitals again and record them on the computer. We then monitor each patient undergoing dialysis treatment such as checking vitals every 30 minutes. After their treatment time is finished I unhook the patient from the machine and I take the needles out of their arm then covering their site with a gauze and tape. I then take their final vital signs and also getting their post treatment weight to input in the computer. After the patient has left the treatment area I dispose the used bloodlines and needles to the hazard bins then I wipe down the chair and machine with bleach and water. Each treatment I Ensure sterilization of operating equipment before use such as needles and bloodlines. Ability to calculate and adjust patient fluid removal rates as required.
