  • 26 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation management
  • Advanced leadership and management skills
  • Advanced technical electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting
  • SAP CMMS Systems advanced skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint experience
  • I recently completed the ISA 13 week curriculum for the CAP, Certified Automation Professional, certification.
  • Estimated certification date is May 2016.
  • The following description is from the ISA, International Society of Automation, website:.
  • The ISA CAP certification provides a non-biased, third-party, objective assessment and confirmation of an automation professional's skills - specifically, the CAP exam is focused on direction, definition, design, development/application, deployment, documentation, and support of systems, software, and equipment used in control systems, manufacturing information systems, systems integration, and operational consulting.
  • The CAP certification exam reflects the documented knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for competent job performance.
  • See more at:
  • A strength used in all of my Supervisory roles has been developing others technically and in CMMS systems, promoting them to permanent and temporary supervisor positions.
  • While employed at Cytec Industries, I helped design and develop a training trailer for the purpose of I/E incumbent worker training assessments using it as a dynamic simulator. This was performed with assistance and funding from the state of Louisiana Department of Labor, technical input from River Parishes Technical College, and donated components from companies such as Rosemount, Fisher, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Yokagowa. Ultimately, the idea provided independent skill assessments that were used for future technical development.
  • As part of the emergency team, kept Electrical power up for reliable critical and environmental equipment performance in a chemical plant during Hurricane Katrina by using a pre-planned approach and ten strategically staged 480 volt 3 phase generators. This proved essential to business operations for up to five months after the storm, until normal power and operations were resumed.
  • I assembled a technical team of engineers, Instrument Technicians and Electricians to work 24/7 for the purpose of replacing over 400 analog and discrete DCS I/O points, their respective conduits and BMS after a vessel explosion and fire. The Burner Management system was completely restored in a nineteen day period.
  • At Cytec Industries I achieved 75% of I/E staff ISA CCST Level I certified.
