I completed a 12-week placement where I worked alongside other OTs, OTAs, and rehab aids. This outpatient rehabilitation center allowed me to increase my knowledge and clinical application skills with the pediatric populations in Laredo, Texas. I conducted evaluations and implemented specific intervention planning. I was able to practice my Spanish skills by communicating with Spanish speaking patients during evaluations and treatment sessions.

During my 12-week stay at LMC I was able to apply clinical knowledge and skills with the adult population in an acute setting. University Hospital - Inpatient Behavioral Unit - Level I Fieldwork Student - Mental Health

The inpatient behavioral unit allowed me to gain experience in patients with mental health disorders such as individuals who were schizophrenic, schizoaffective, depressed, and suicidal.
