Professional Commercial Truck Driver with Class A CDL including endorsements for Doubles and triples, Tankers and Hazmat. Current medical examiners certificate. I started my truck driving career in May of 2005 as a roll off truck driver serving Northern Utah. After moving to Idaho briefly, I resumed my career as a roll off truck driver in the scrap metal recycling industry in September of 2006. In 2009 I began driving tractor trailer combinations, hauling scrap metals, flatbed and end dump trailers. I completed an air brake adjustment and inspection certification class in 2008 and again in 2010 as a refresher course. I have completed MSHA safety training and site specific hazard training at mines is Utah, Idaho and Nevada. After nearly two years, I was promoted to steel yard supervisor. This promotion put me in charge of a crew of up to 15 team members. I am in charge of processing scrap metals, crew training and safety training.
Responsible for safe transport of scrap metals with the use of roll off containers, flatbed and end dump trailers. Gained a wide range of skills and knowledge with trucks, material handling cranes, front end loaders, skid steer loaders, forklifts and other scrap handling machines. Responsible for minor maintenance on all of the above mentioned machines and road fixes when necessary. Promoted to steel yard supervisor in 2011. Responsible for training employees, managing employees, evaluating employees and weekly safety training. Responsible for ensuring the safety of all subordinates under my supervision, safely processing scrap metals to meet monthly contract requirements and working closely with the safety manager to ensure that all safety rules and regulations are met and adhered to.
Responsible for operating case machine. Responsible for putting all cased pallets of product into their places within the warehouse.
Responsible for safe transport of roll off containers. Weekly truck maintenance and daily pre-trip inspections.
