In summary, I am writing to you today in hopes of joining your team as a Critical care Register Nurse. I feel my many years of experience in many different and vast occupations have led me here to a point where not only am I a well rounded candidate for the job, but a pin pointed spot in my career. See it took a few years away from medicine to realize what I truly wanted and where I wanted to be. Not only did it show me my worth, it gave me the opportunity to go out and get real world experience in many different facets, too many to list, that will all help me in one way or another someday down the road in medicine. Supervising an ambulance service and 5+ medics and 15+ other employees, managing the daily operations and structuring of that service, and dealing with challenges from the county run service issues and hospital driven revenue has helped me really sharpen my patient communication skills but also my peer interaction skills. I'm very goal and family orientated man, leaving the trucking industry was a tough decision but knowing my family was growing older and time was getting more precious, I felt it was best for me to go back to my roots in medicine while also quenching my thirst for continuing education, patient contact, and making a difference in lives. Trucking provided a great life for me and my family, but its time to narrow my focus and use my brain instead of my body to push the limits of what I am capable of. Not only am I interested in spending my years in the hospital setting, I am also very anxious to learn and grow my knowledge of all things related. Together we can save lives.
