Over the past 23 years, I have been a wife and mother to 5 awesome and wonderful kids. I enjoyed staying home and raising them. I have gained numerous experience in this endeavor in my life. It is a full time job in itself. I have learned many skills over the years with my children. Life changes, and sometimes you are thrown a curveball, and plans change. My husband and I decided to get divorced, so that has thrown me back into the fulltime work field, with not alot of experience. For the last 6 months, I have gained alot of knowledge working for a company here in Lexington. Also for 2 years before that, had a part time call center business. I have adjusted well to being the bread winner and the responsibility that comes with that. I am excited to be independant and able to work everyday, and to provide for myself. I am determined and a hard worker, and pick up new tasks easily! I am a morning person and get up at 4:30 everyday. I am organized and professional, and know with a little guidance, could be a wonderful match for a wonderful company.
Started at Lex 1 with Integrity Staffing beginning of November. Worked hard, made it through their layoff process after peak. Was transferred to Lex 2, worked their peak, survived layoffs again, and just kept working hard, and now about to time out without being hired. That is fine, have learned alot of skills and have gotten cross trained and worked in many depts for the experience that I need to move forward in a new position.
My responsibilities and duties were to be ready to accept calls at my home from customers ordering products from an infomercial. Would have screen and dialogue ready to read when someone called. Loved talking to people and explaining the products etc. Was a nice little part time gig at home to do when I wanted to do it. Didnt make alot of money, cause they didnt pay alot, but got experience.
Started in ICQA at Lex1-Amazon. Trained in how to accurately count the products in the bins. Transferred after their peak was over to Lex 2-Amazon, Started in Vendor Returns. Trained in Stowing products on shelf,Picking orders off the shelf, and also single and multi box packing. Was transferred a couple months ago to C-Returns(Customer Returns) Where I process things sent back from the customer for refund. I really do love my job and people there. I have worked their 6 months, and appreciate all the training I have received etc. I would stay there, but about to time out, and not hiring. Have 6 weeks left. I dont want to draw unemployment, I would like to find a full time job.
I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and had 2 major surgerys and took me a long time to recover. I am totally healthy now and pretty much in the best shape of my life. Eager to learn and do everything I can do:)
Worked for this awesome lady down by Natural Bridge as a seasonal Manager of her roadside restaurant. She ended up taking it back to Florida where she was from. Got alot of experience in ordering, fixing food, serving food, register, paaperwork, deposits etc. Ran shift when she was away etc. Alot of fun again, meeting people from all over the world that would come there to hike and explore Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge.
This was an awesome job. Again meeting and talking to people. Would get cabins ready through the week for people to rent over the weekends. Would clean and vacuum all rooms, strip beds, wash all bedding, "spring clean" kitchen, take everything out of cabinets, wash, put back up, wash windows, spray off decks, fill hot tubs, and empty them first, dust all furniture etc. Took great pride in leaving a place in ready to rent condition, Seasonal job.
Over several years I would waitress or cook on backline at different restaurants when my husband and I would need extra money, or he was able to watch kids etc. I started coat checking and waitressing at Lexington Country Club during High School cause my mom was manager there. I have lots of experience in restaurants etc, but want something better for myself.
I went through High School at Lafayette. Found at before Graduation I was 2 credits short. I was devastated. I waited and took my GED in May 1991 through the Find Center in Richmond Indiana
