Micro Motion Inc, a Division of Emerson Process Management, has developed Automated Customer Drawings application using TeamcenterEngineering 2005 SR1 and NX5. ACD helps in generating Customer Drawings dynamically based on the customer required configuration. Micro Motion Inc wants upgrade the existing ACD application by upgrading the infrastructure and introducing new features to the existing application. This upgrade includes. Tooling Document Server is an application that supports shop floor users who needs access to various Tools in Teamcenter, they do not login to Teamcenter to access the tooling drawings and they need a simple web application where they can search for a tool and download the PDF they want to work with. Provided a SOA based solution where users can search Teamcenter Tooling Part using web based solution and download PDF. Involved in requirements gathering, design and development.
As part of Teamcenter implementations defined workflow processes for MMI and customized handlers during release process. Develolped multiple synchronization utilities with other systems using ITK and SOA services. Implemented custom queries using POM APIs.
Over the past two years GE Energy has launched several major processes and functionalities in the Enovia PLM platform, including Engineering drawing management, CAD integration/management, and product structure.Another major release in late 2011 will expand the PLM scope to include Part & BOM creation, ITO-OTR order configuration and management, engineering scheduling, and engineering change. Additional processes including NPI execution, requirements management, NPI schedule and resource management, part compliance, supplier qualifications and supplier document exchange will also be rolled out in early 2012. At the same time, the Global ProjectsOperation (GPO) business has deployed and used Primavera P6 v7 for project/portfolio management. The Thermal GPO group is utilizing two instances for scheduling and resource management in v7.
This group will be moving to P6 v8 with a single instance. As a part of this engagement, the vendor team will design, build, test and deploy an integration between Enovia PLM and the P6 v8 instance.The efforts outlined in this Statement of Work focus on building a robust integration between ENOVIA PLM and Primavera that enable the automated synchronization and maintenance of schedules between the two systems. This integration will be used by various groups within the GE Energy Thermal businesses, including EED, GPO and EPE. CAS (Calculation and Analysis System) is the legacy Application currently being used for maintaining MBOM across GE Aviation Business.There are challenges using the legacy application as it has limitations with the shared data and the accuracy of the data as there are no checks performed on CAS and everything is manual.There is scope for mistakes and those are very expensive and critical for the success of GE Aviation. Manufacturing Bill of Materials is currently maintained in CAS mainframe application, which has lot of limitations related to functionalities as well as interactions with other systems. EBOM is the source for MBOM and currently EBOM is maintained in another system and the data is transferred to MBOM system using sync utilities, this is not a fool proof environment and many a times, there are issues with the sync. To solve these issues, MBOM has been configured in Teamcenter,where the EBOM data is available. By using Teamcenter we have integrated the EBOM and MBOM management into a single system by reducing lot of complexities involved with Interfaces. The MNSiS tool shall also have a parametrization and online monitoring module whichshall interact with the switchgear. This tool shall be used both insideand outside the ABB network by ABB Engineers, commissioning personneland Customers.
