Registered Nurse with 6+ years experience in clinical settings providing nursing care to diverse populations. I joined UPMC's System Nursing Resource division after serving the stroke, neurosurgery, and trauma population for over 5 years with UPMC Mercy. I have provided education and clinically competent care to not only to the neuro/trauma patient population, but to the transplant populations including small bowel, liver, double lung, and heart. Over the past 6 years, I have primarily enjoyed and effectively imparted education regarding all of these areas of specialty. In addition, during my tenure at UPMC Mercy, I was elected co-chairman of the Quality and Education council and was responsbile for assisting the Chairman in keeping minutes, directing our council on various quality projects for the year and collecting data on hospital-wide areas of improvment in clinical care. Moreover, I attended unit based Shared Governance meetings every month. Eventually, I was selected to be a representative of UPMC Mercy in Houston, TX for the 2017 Magnet Conference. I also had the honor of being selected as the Cameo of Caring, Nurse of the Year Award for UPMC Mercy in 2018.
