-Operate blasting equipment to remove scale, paint and other foreign substances from inside and/or outside of railcars and other materials to prime, paint and stencil the interior and/or exterior surfaces of railcars or equipment.
-Surface preparation of non-finished railcars and components using various blast media methods.
-Clean railcar and perform general inspection of railcar for readiness for finishing application.
-Final preparation of the railcar for finishing, including caulking, taping off and other tasks.
-Clean, maintain and properly store equipment. Dismantle, assemble and adjust blasting equipment, as necessary, to ensure equipment operates per manufactures specification.
-Make adjustments to equipment as is necessary to perform efficient and proper blasting.
-Set up and operate various hand and power tools such as, but not limited to, blasting equipment, grinders, wire and sanding discs, etc.
