I was elated to hear about the Registered Nursing position from the UMHS career website and would like to meet with you to discuss this opportunity further. I strongly feel that my experience working with the University of Michigan's Anticoagulation Department at Domino Farms for the past three years has provided me with the unique skillset and training needed to perform this role.
I recently received my license to practice as a Registered Nurse but I have 6 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse which includes 3 years of face to face clinical practice at Botsford Hospital as well as the three years' experience in telehealth nursing at UMHS. In addition to performing all regular duties I was trained as an Epic (Michart) super user in 2012 and re-certified again in 2014, this extraordinary experience allows me to routinely stay updated on changes made to the Epic system and provide support to fellow co-workers as needed. The experience in informatics also allowed me to work with our LEAN department and become a co-creator of a RN-Assist position which focused on running daily reports and performing case management on all patients enrolled in the service; I also developed all the associated workflows as well as mentored new/existing employees in these areas.
I am very committed & reliable and have remained within the same division since being hired by UMHS and was named 2014's survey ambassador. In addition, I have been awarded six "Making a Difference" awards at UMHS and was named as one of Botsford Hospital's top 20 employees of 2009.[Number] years as LNP and [number] years as RN with excellent communication and teaching skills.
