Client: SiriusXM Radio, Inc.
Responsible for business requirements analysis, engage with different functional teams to hash out the FRD details, effort estimation, writing detailed designs, coding, reviews, follow complete SDLC including supporting QA and production deployment of BAU life-cycle projects/enhancements on heavily customized and complex BRM 7.5 billing/subscription platform supporting nearly 35 million SIO. Depending upon the project either it ends up in Agile or Waterfall implementation method. Some of the projects worked on are mentioned below.
Process Improvements for BAU:
Analyse and work on regular basis to improve the system implementation process and performance by the means of introducing unit testing framework like JUnit or custom in-house scripting tools to regression test the system, extensive code reviews, automated static code analysis and memory management tools, A v/s B validation method implementation etc.
eBill Payment Method and Refunds Processing Implementation:
Designed and implemented a custom solution for refunds process of SiriusXM to replace the OOB BRM feature pin_refund to cope up with the large volume and overcome performance hurdle. Introduced a new payment method eBill as part of the digital enterprise initiative. Worked with business layer, different functional teams and system integration partners like Fidelis, Paymentch etc.. to hash out the requirements and integrate the solution.
BRM 7.5 Upgrade and XM Migration:
Upon merger of Sirius and XM, subscription systems were merged that involved upgrading the BRM product as well to v7.5. A massive project with impact across the organization. Involved in design and analysis with various functional teams to carry out successful merging of the XM business logic with Sirius and call out the technical details required for upgrading the system version to 7.5. Implemented a dev based A v/s B validation of the systems using extensive SQL scripting to mitigate the production issues for scale of this project.
Collections, Write-offs and Write-off Reversals:
With heavy custom BRM solution at SiriusXM, implementing collections and write-off reversals had it's own challenges from business requirements to blind spots impacting customers. Worked in agile mode with each use-case as a story, fetch flavors of the accounts and work on the solution based on diagnosis for each use-case.
Video Service, CC Updater w/ Paymentech, Incremental Services Provisioning to CA, Account Consolidation & Service Continuity, Pricing Product Catalog changes etc. are few of the many such medium to large scale projects worked on.
Client: Atria Convergence Technologies & Tikona Digital Networks
Resolved high stake business crucial IPTV provisioning interface and trouble ticketing issues with 100% success rate. Prepare technical proposals for fresh implementation of BRM v7.3.1, OSM, ASAP & TT.
Implemented circle wise billing segmentation, migration of accounts to relevant circle v/s billing segments, loyalty program and multiple invoices formatting for hierarchical accounts for this Wi-Max service provider.
Client: Telstra BigPond
Billing consultant for BigPond Lifecycle and Optimization team supporting the system of over 3 million SIO. Developed various tools like on-demand sync internet services on Infranet v6.7FP1 with LDAP using Channel Framework, bulk reset, and processing of channel events, capturing average latency and reporting on the provisioning events. Technical contribution to few sub-projects like payments filtering, bill comparison, NRC reconciliation of BigPond Transformation from Infranet to Kenan system.
Client: Wi-Tribe
Led a team and mentored fellow engineers to design and implement Wi-Max data service (Prepaid/Postpaid) on BRM v7.3.1 for this greenfield operator with various customizations across different modules of the product like rating through RADIUS manager, service provisioning, billing and invoicing.
Started as a billing developer to implement Infranet upgrade from v6.2 to v6.5, new services like Games on Demand (YOU Play), IP Phone (YOU Phone) and integration of Infranet with custom CRM system that lead to promotions through the hierarchy as Assistant Manager to lead designs, mentor the team and provide BSS (Infranet)/OSS (MetaSolv) support for the ISP.
