Participated in development of Mood:Mix, a music streaming platform for businesses.
The design and development of Mood:Mix's royalties and usage reporting and aggregation application using Ruby on Rails and Mongodb.
Support for expanding internationalization features to Mix as Mood followed new business opertunities in Poland and the Czech Republic.
Redesigning and implementing several core features of the Mix application.
Continuing support and feature development.
Was a core individual in designing and virtually solely responsible for implementing and supporting a multicast streaming service for TuneIn online radio.
This project involved: DevOps scripting using Ruby and Chef to provision and configure two separate server stacks through AWS OpsWorks.
Ruby and Mongodb for aggregation of billing and royalty data.
Administration of all involved Ubuntu Linux Servers and round the clock support for these servers.
Configuration and administration of a load balancing and authentication proxy using NGINX and custom Lua scripts.
The esoteric Liquidsoap scripting language and IceCast2 streaming media server.
During it's peak, this service accrued over 2,100,000 unique listens in a month and logged more than 999,000 hours of usage.
I was also involved in early development of a system to monitor Mood Media's deployed devices on a global scale.
During my involvement in this project I: Was actively engaged in adding security and usage features to the Rails application.
Was involved in optimizing the applications usage of PostgreSQL database.
Was introduced to the React js library.
I was also involved in several smaller and shorter term projects while at mood ranging from custom one time usage reports from various systems to continuing ingestion scripts drawing content from Mood's suppliers such as Universal Music Group.
