Currently on the last step of immigration with the USCIS to obtain my permanent resident status. I have currently been in the US since November 2019, and have obtained my Social Security Card, EAD, and Texas driver's license. I immigrated from Scotland where I held an HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) license- which is equivalent to a CDL here in the states. The HGV license was non transferrable when I immigrated and I am eager to obtain and maintain a CDL here as well.
