As a curious optimist, I enjoy reading a wide range of genres, from news to novels. I have had an artistic flair since early childhood. When I was 10 years old, I was asked to provide the illustrations for a book about youth and activities, which was published. I also illustrated much of our graduating class yearbook in high school. Remaining active is very important to me. Walking with my husband and dog provides fresh air, positive thoughts, and a reframing of my life.
My nursing experience spanning more than 3 decades has enriched my life, providing a constant reminder of our shared humanity. Not all people will become healthcare professionals, but all of us are patients at various times in our lives. I am a very compassionate, focused person, and thrive on relationships with patients, colleagues, and vendors. Being part of a team is an important role and one that I relish.
