Professional Summary

I am a cardiac stepdown, PCU, and telemetry nurse. In these settings, I monitor patients' recoveries from procedures or surgeries ensuring recovery or prompt response to complications. Dressing changes may be required as part of their care. I monitor patients' responses to medications for effectiveness, complications, or side effects as these medications are likely to change during their stays. A focus of mine is always patient education in any unit to help patients recover, promote health, and prevent readmissions. A proper assessment at the start of the shift has always been essential for myself in these settings that patients' frequently decline in so as to be able to see changes in status. Taking care of patients in these units has been very enjoyable. Monitoring the patients complex problems and taking care of their whole being is really the most enjoyable aspect.
