Summary

As a young daughter, I grew up listening to the stories my nurse mother came home and shared after every shift. I yearned to be like her someday but as I grew into adulthood, my reasons for becoming a nurse changed into motivation to serve people with my life and knowledge. I have been drawn to critical care so I could use my astute assessments skills, constantly learn from my medical team, and empathize with both the patient and family during the worst times of their lives. I advocate for my patients, strive to always be a team player, and believe that clear communication in the healthcare field is imperative. I love being a nurse and showing compassion for others as this has been my calling in life.
