Additional Information

Before I left my previous job we were launching a "Pediatric" themed practice. I set up my own opportunity to shadow at the UW Madison Children's Fitness Center to get a better perspective on what it would take to do this successfully. I presented my experience and outtake to Bellin Health's Pediatric committee and also formed a new committee to get other specialties involved such as : nutrition, fitness, endocrine, psych and local schools as well. I wasn't comfortable with just doing a quit RN visit without assessing the needs of the child and family as well. I wanted to be sure that the recommendations I was suggesting we reachable. I wanted to be sure that a chargeable visit was not only benefiting the company I worked for finacially, but actually the overweight child and their family's needs and to give them actual achievable goals.
