Transfered to UAlbany from Schenectady County Community College in 2010 where I did extensive study on the culture and language of China and Japan with a Major in Chinese and Minor in Japanese.
Won a competitive full-paid Chinese Government Scholarship (tuition and room included along with monthly stipend) which allowed me to study abroad in China in the fall semester of 2010 taking courses full-time in advanced Chinese. Done through the University at Albany's Study Abroad Program.
In 2009 did cross-registering program through Schenectady County Community College allowing me to take Chinese language courses at Union College that were not offered at SCCC at the time.
From 2008-2010 took courses fulfilling General Education Requirements for 4 year college degree.
provide professional and friendly service to college students of all backgrounds on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities include assisting students in the development of writing their academic papers, such as developing a thesis, organization, how to properly cite, and other steps needed to write an academic paper. I also offer assistance in help with power points, presentations, resumes, and other important assignments related to academia. Other duties involve more office related work and miscellaneous activities such as responding to inquiries via our office phone, making paper copies of documents, making sure students abide by Learning Center rules in terms of conduct, attending staff meetings and holding presentations.
Worked as a TA for 3 different Chinese Language courses at UAlbany and tutored students one-on-one in private language sessions.
