Customer needed to combine several sources into an MDM database but he needed to cleanse and eliminate duplicates before that database was populated.  Jim performed development work for a one time process to cleanse and identify duplicate records in approximately 30mil records before moving to MDM.  Jim also created a cleanse service to be called by a real-time webservice to cleanse records before they are loaded.

Morgan Stanley was utilizing Trillium Software System Series 7.7 (“TSS Series 7”) on the Windows platform. Customer has migrated to Trillium Software System v13.5 (“TSS v13.5”) on the Linux platform.  Jim provided assistance in upgrading from TSS Series 7 to TSS v13.5, migrated seven (7) current TSS projects to the new Linux platform and enhancing the cleansing and matching rules during the process.

Customer was utilizing Trillium Software System v10 (“TSS v10”) in their Cleanse/Standardize/Match (“CMS”) process in their Linux environment for the purpose of data cleansing and matching within their marketing database. Customer was moving to a new Aprimo marketing system and upgraded to Trillium Software System v13 (“TSS v13”). Jim performed development work and coordinated the Production upgrade. Customer is currently processing data from the following countries: United States, Canada France, Germany, Great Britain, Australia, Belgium, Ireland, New Zealand, Italy and the Netherlands. The development was completed in batch as well as the initial load.  Ongoing records are being added through real time cleansing services.

Teradata’s MDM tool includes Trillium’s Batch Cleansing and Matching project scripts by country to enhance Proctor and Gamble’s integrated product functionality.  Jim assisted in the development of match rules to identify matches at 3 levels against existing records in the MDM database.  Successful matching entailed a serial design approach, where data presented to the matching engine must exist in its most accurate forms.  Since common elements across the different sources are utilized to link products together, these product attributes are cleansed and standardized in the project workflow, prior to the 3 levels of matching taking place.  The approach used first performed analysis on all relevant data sources.  Once analysis was complete, improvements to data quality were made and improved match results were achieved.
