After working as a Quality analyst for 4 months, Hope's Lead Design Manager approached me with an opportunity to join their department as a product development assistant.
I was asked to join this department because the area manager thought my textile knowledge and experience in color development would be advantageous to the product development process.
In this new role I was able to bridge and implement my previous textile knowledge with the fashion design side of the business.
While I took new responsibilities in this role, my new manager also wanted me to maintain my previous color development responsibilities.
Shortly after accepting this new position, my Manager and department Coordinator saw that my capabilities were growing rapidly, and they continued to expand my role and responsibilities, allowing me to develop my fashion design skillset.
These new responsibilities included the creation of technical drawings, development of technical and measuring sheets, trend analysis, sales team training, styling and organizing runway shows, and much more.

As a , I was responsible for the development of materials color and act as direct liaison with Hope's supplier's labs.
In addition to working directly with suppliers, I was responsible for releasing the quality compliance standards and processes to Hope's Facility Quality department.
To ensure suppliers followed our color development and quality processes, I conducted weekly quality inspections, on site, at supplier's facilities.
In this role, I was also responsible for communication between Hope's Quality, Supply Chain and Merchandise departments and our suppliers for any new development or materials found to be non-compliant.
