Currently I work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Proctor Hospital. I have worked as this department's Tech for six years and in my six years I have learned a lot about critical care of patients, the importance of patient care and teamwork. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to work with this wonderful group of Nurses and to have had the opportunity to work with such a wide variety of people. In the fall semester of 2011 I entered into Illinois Central College's associates RN program and am projected to graduate with the class of 2013 this May. Prior to entering Illinois Central College's RN program I was working towards an associates in Arts and Science with intention of transferring into a bachelors nursing program. Unfortunately the curriculum for the Bachelor's program changed prior to my transferring but in the meantime I attended and completed most of my transfer degree courses. I am educated in many areas, have a lot to contribute to the world of Nursing and am looking forward to the opportunity to work as a Nurse.
Projected graduation in May 2013 from Illinois Central College's Associate RN program. CPR certified through American Heart Association until 9/2014. Certified Nursing Assistant through Illinois Central College as of 2006.
