In 2010 I have always been interested in fitness and nutrition taking courses at St.Charles cc in weight lifting. In 2012 I joined the army and went to Ft. lee VA to learn proper cooking techniques. Then to Ft. Sam Houston TX to learn nutrition. I was then sent to Ft. Carson CO to work in Evans Army Community Hospital as a Nutrition care specialist. There i used my training on patient care to interview the patients, provide nutrition education, teach classes such as Healthy eating habits, and healthy cooking, weight management. we also modified meals for the patients ex: mechanical diet/ full liquid/clear liquid/ low carb/ low cal. we developed exercise routines for fellow soldiers.
In the army we were trained to go outside of our normal job requirements and help in any position needed.
