I am an experienced Masters prepared Registered Nurse with 26 years of experience in an acute hospital setting, having worked Adult Medical Surgical and Critical Care. Within these years 14 were spent in management, initially of a the Mecdical Surgical unit and then after completion of my Masters in 1996 I became the Director of Case Management for my current employer and built the program from the ground up. In 2006 I returned to my first and foremost love bedside nursing in the Critical Care Unit. There I had the opportunity to precept incoming employees and students. In August of 2010 I began a career teaching at Armstrong Atlantic State University. I currently coordinate the Adult Medical Surgical II course including clinical rotations and the Critical Inquiry course which prepares our graduating seniors for their board exam. I feel being able to develop the clinical skills and knowledge of up and coming nurses is a great honor. I enjoy collaborating with my fellow coworkers and sharing new information for the overall outcome of our students.
