During this time I worked simply to help my community and to earn community hours. At the nursing home I talked to a lot of different patients. I helped moving them from one place to another. I read books and poems to many. I became very close to many. I participated in the activities they held for the patients by bringing them, setting up the table and room, making popcorn, drinks, snacks, and games. I kept a daily log that had how many hours I completed each time I went. I got my Tetanus shot before I started to make sure I wouldn't bring it into the nursing home. I worked with many other kids my age and made a few friends. I would bring patients their newspaper. I talked to patients for one on one time, and during this time you just ask them about their lives and their family. This helps them feel more comfortable while being there, During this I learned about recent times in different states. I also get to know the patients more. In the office I would organize the bookshelf and just keep everything in order. In the halls of the nursing home I would replace old calenders to the present month. During this time I realized that I wanted to be in the Medical field for my career.
