More than 4600 combined hours of experience testing composite honeycomb core structures, adhesive bondlines, and proprietary materials. Combined experience includes utilizing automated A-scan and manual pulse echo techniques for both the longitudinal and shearwave modes. Also performed ultrasonic thickness and dry powder magnetic particle inspections to armor grade plate steel. Other responsibilities included making integrity check data base and log entries, final visual inspections, training new technicians, and coordinating the fabrication and documentation of required sensitivity standards.
Responsible for the final magnetic particle disposition of transportation industry castings, weldments and machined parts in compliance with Premier Manufacturing Co. quality standards. Certified as Level II in the method of Magnetic Particle Testing in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A. More than 5000 hours of experience using the wet magnetic particle testing method. Additionally, responsible for approximately 10-15 production and 3 inspection employees as the shop lead. Also performed machining operations including CNC programming and setup.
