Mobile Maintenance TechnicianNucor Steel Berkeley – Huger, SC Hired in at Nucor as a Pickle Line 2 utility. During that time I learned all of my job responsibilities and was also able to become efficient at the entry operators position, the exit operators position, and the pickle tech (quality) position. I held this position for approx. 3 years, and transitioned over to Cold Mill Maintenance where I was a shift mechanic responsible for the area maintenance of reversing mills, temper mill, roll shop, galve line, tension leveler,annealing, and parts of shipping. I held this position for approx. 3 years. During this time I was assigned to the crew responsible for installing the tension leveler. I transitioned over to Hot Mill Mechanical where I was a shift mechanic responsible for the area maintenance of the Hot mill, tunnel furnace, pickle line 1, and pickle line 2. I held this position for approx. 2.5 years. During this time, I was involved in the widening project for both the hot mill and pickle line 2. I was also a designated shift mechanic for pickle line 2 after the widening project to help with any mechanical or quality problems the line was experiencing. Quality ControlRobert Bosch – Charleston, SC I was hired in at Bosch as a production machinist. I was responsible for the machining of 9,000 armatures and tappets for the assemble of magnet valves for ABS units. I held this position for 2 years. I was transitioned over to the quality coordinator position for the ABS side. I was responsible for all quality concerns for the machining, pre assembly, and final assembly of the ABS unit. In this position, I logged random quality checks, performed cleanliness(particle ) checks, and oversaw all part quarantines and sorting\'s from an outside company. I was accepted into Bosch's apprentice program where I received a associates degree from Trident technical college in Industrial Technology. During this apprenticeship, we were trained in both the mechanical and electrical sides of maintenance. At the end of the 2 year apprenticeship, I was chosen for another year of training in the Tool room ( machine shop). Here I was responsible for learning the equipment (CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC grinders,Wire EDM, conventional mills, lathes, grinders). I was also responsible at the same time for my job orders. We would receive work orders and would be responsible for fulfilling those orders for production.
