Patient-focused, dedicated, and compassionate Nursing Professional with more than 7 years of experience providing exceptional care for patients with many different types of diseases, injuries, and health concerns. Ensures efficient, accurate, and individualized care by working with other healthcare providers to execute strategic plans. Looking to work in a healthcare environment where my skills will be of great use for the benefit of the patients.
As a medical surgical nurse I provided comprehensive patient care on a 35 bed unit to medical, surgical, and observation patients ranging in age from one month old to end of life patients. In addition to working on the Medical Surgical Unit I also work in our Transitional Care Unit. Transitional Care is designed to provide additional skilled care to those needing more time to heal following an acute hospital stay, prior to returning to their home environment. These patients may be recovering from major surgery, joint replacement or abdominal and vascular procedures; patients recovering from a major accident or stroke; patients with wounds requiring special care, IV/or antibiotic therapy.
As a direct care worker, I worked privately with a female client with Multiple Sclerosis in her home.
My responsibilities as a Care Aide at Wellington Heights Assisted Living was much like the responsibilities of the LPN who had trained me.
