I have worked for over 16 years devoted to the health field. I have spent these years working with disabled children and adults, psychiatric patients; both medical and criminal, the elderly in the nursing homes, acute patients within the hospital, home health care in recovery and terminal care. In my current role I have consistently performed above standard, providing exceptional care within Ambulatory Care; maintaining knowledge, a strong work ethic and satisfaction for both the consumers, their families and within my team. Duties: Work independently following medical orders to assist client and family with ADLs, vital statistics, wound care, medication administration and planning, address all changes with medical staff and report them immediately. Address the needs voiced by patient or family to continue the involvement in care. Assess the needs to ensure that consumer and those within the household maintain quality of life and a safe environment.
Duties: Work within a pod of RN, LPN, and PSP. Daily Med. administration, bedside care, wound care, MD order removal and follow through, patient safety, continued monitoring of status, blood draw, fall prevention,and infection control. This facility maintained long term, respite, short-term, rehab, hospice, and dementia patients. Patient and family advocacy made an essential requirement within this facility.
Duties: Overseeing clients' activities of daily living, conducting group activities, monitoring Psychiatric patients in crisis stage, aiding in community re-entry programs, and assisting clients to understand and acknowledge the forensic statuses and needs. Managed behavioral emergencies, one-to-one monitoring; behavioral, suicidal, or youth. Appropriate documentation noted and addressed to other medical staff for correct treatment if needed for safety of client, peer clients, and staff daily.
Duties: Daily care for mentally and physically challenged children and adults.The majority of the patients were incontinent and needed assisting in feeding from a soften meal to tube feeding. Which the aides completed. Groups and activities conducted daily. Daily charting done in mannerly time. As a staff member I worked for the highest quality of life for each resident and made them feel love that many did not have due to abandonment or abuse.
