I became Unit President at my place of employment around 2013. Back then the Company and the Union were on very bad terms due to the leadership that was in charge before me. When I took over my main goal and focus was to mend the relationship between the company and the union. It was not a popular choice among the members, but I knew that if the company does good we all do good. I spent months explaining my position with members of the union and company, it was a fight on the membership side, but after 6 years everyone is starting to fall in line. The relationship between my company and the union is at an all time high. We work very well together, great communication, because we all have one goal in mind and that is to do whatever we can do to help the company succeed to the best of its abilities. I take a lot of pride in how far this union has come with our company, and if you talk to high ranking members in the company they will tell you the same thing, and that is that we are very professional, upstanding, gentleman. And that's what Iwill continue to strive for and preach to my membership. We are here to help the company thrive and do the best possible buisness it can. If they flurish we flurish.
