Maintained proficiency in cardiovascular care including nursing patients with, but not limited to, hypertensive crisis, MI, Arrythmia care, life threatening arrytmia care, Congestive heart failure care, Pre and Post cardiac intervention care. Also practiced as part of the post-operative cardiovascular surgery care team. During my time there this hospital had been identified as the busiest inpatient medical/surgical ward in the hospital. Provided care to patients with varying diagnoses including neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal and urological. Worked hand-in hand with nearly every service in the hospital including neurosurgery, surgery, orthopedics, medicine, cardiology and urology. Maintained organizational and managerial skills as charge nurse to 5-9 staff nurses on a daily basis.

Also served as part of the critical care float pool which included interdepartment floats to other step-down ICUs and the medical/surgical ICU when appropriate.
Completed 9 week intensive army course in intensive care and emergency nursing. Completed projects in spinal cord injuries. Earned a high GPA and honor graduate.
Graduated with BS in nursing with high honors. Was on deans list for all full time semesters and earned a 3.84 GPA. Completed senior projects in adolescent health promotion, inpatient foley catheter management and ICU patient care.
