- Responsible for history and physical and initiating admission orders for treatment, medications, and care for patients admitted under the hospitalist service.

-Perform on-call duties to triage post transplant patient concerns, and arrange hospital admission for transplant patients as organ offers become available.
-Important point of contact for patients and their families before and after transplant.
-Service on Renal quality, Liver Care, Liver Quality committees as well as Transplant Clinical Counsel, reviewing changes to policies and proposed new policies prior to final approval by the deputy directors of the program.
-Responsible for orientation of new Transplant Coordinators, and development of annual competency review and test for coordinators and staff.
-Charge Nurse: responsible for staff assignment, issue resolution and ensuring floor runs smoothly throughout shift.
-Preceptor: provide training and mentoring to new nurses.
-Provide a thorough assessment of patients, initiate appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety and support improved patient outcomes.
