Responsible for providing care for patients in med/surg, telemetry and critical care areas. Floating to numerous floors of the hospital to provide direct patient during a single shift if needed. Opening patient overflow areas as needed. Charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
Provide direct patient care of telemetry patients.
Worked closely with physician to provide direct patient care to critical care patients at a trauma accredited hospital. IV therapy, mixing and titration of intraveinous medication. Manual CAPD. Telemetry, cardioversion, subcutaneous and transcutaneous cardiac pacing. Rapid Response Team, Code Team. Charge Nurse. Transporting patients who need continuous cardiac monitoring and medication titration to other facilities. Preperation of patients for areial transportation. Orientation and education of nurses new to the unit.
Provide direct patient care of telemetry patients. Charge Nurse.
Assist residents with activities of daily living.
Received training as a certified nursing assistant, EKG tech, and phlebotomy.
