I started off as a dishwasher, always coming to work on time and with motivation. As I progressed some of the older employees took me under their wing and taught me how to prep. Every chance I got I would rush to prep and make a salad, or prep an ingredient on the fly so the actual prep cook on shift would not have to do it. My manager saw how reluctant I was to prep so he started to schedule me as a prep cook. My eagerness to learn carried on into pretty much everything else, I would buss tables when I got the chance, take guests' orders, and work the line. My work ethic awarded me the role as Kitchen Supervisor during the short time I had there, and I came to work everyday with great motivation and an eagerness to not only learn but to teach now.
I am a part of the Recovery section in my National Guard unit. Meaning I am one of four mechanics who have been trusted to take on all wrecking, rigging, and towing procedures. Also, I have found myself taking on the jobs of completely different fields, like Supply and Administration. From May 6, 2020 to September 30th, 2020 I have taken a leadership role in assisting my Unit in whatever maintenance or technicalities they may endure. Whether it be moving supplies to one base to another, fixing faults in our vehicles, or maintaining the readiness of our soldiers. I have accepted every lawful order given to me and executed with pride. Regardless of the job I am asked of I make it my duty to carry it out above expectations because I enjoy making my leadership proud and carrying out my reputation through the unit.
