Project Management:
Coordinator for 13 month dry dock repair period of the USS Nimitz at Bremerton Naval Shipyard, Washington. This 280 million dollar, and 700,000 man day production effort was the largest ever conducted at this shipyard.
Operations Management:
In conjunction with military mission restructuring initiatives, developed and implimented reorganization and policy changes to establish the submarine repair detachment of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in San Diego, combined the surface fleet and submarine repair commands in Pearl Harbor, established surface ship repair capabilities overseas in Lamadelena, Italy, closed down all operations in the Holy Loch, Scotland, established a new nuclear training command and facility in South Carolina.
Managed major department of 280 personnel. Maintained and operated the complex engineering systems aboard a nuclear aircraft carrier.
Managed transition of 200 military and civilian personnel to establish new command for submarine repairs in La Jolla, California.
Managed 140 personnel in the operation and maintenance of major shipboard equipment and systems during two combat deployments and major shipyard repair periods.
Managed repairs and logistical support for squadron of 22 submarines.
Maintained and operated propulsion plant systems and equipment. Technical support and complex repairs.
Conducted nuclear propulsion system repairs aboard submarines.
Assignment included reorganization and consolidation of submarine and surface ship commands.
Managed complex nuclear propulsion system repairs aboard submarines. Included ship relocation from the Holy Loch, Scotland to Italy.
