I graduated summa cum laude from Deland High School in 2010. I immediately moved to Tampa to start at The University of South Florida to start are my nursing career. In the year of 2011, I received my Associates of Arts degree. I ended up moving back to Deland to attend Daytona State College, still moving towards a degree in nursing. I received my CNA license from Patty Mac in Deland in March of 2012, and started working at John Knox Village of Central Florida in June of the same year; I am currently still employed at that facility.

I have worked in all of John Knoxs' facilities from the nursing home at Majestic Oaks to independent living in the apartments at The Fountains. I started in home health, in which I traveled to and from residents homes and did everything from walking dogs to assisting with showers. I currently work in the apartment buildings in the independent living facility. Part of my job is to take vital signs, assist with light housekeeping, provide showers, make up beds, prepare and serve meals, medication reminders, and laundry.
Patty Mac provided me with a week long course to prepare me to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant, or Home Health Aide. I learned everything from ambulating a resident with a gait belt to how to clean, and change, a bed pan.
I attended the University of South Florida from June 2010 to May 2011. While there, I received my Associates of Arts degree.
Graduated in June 2010, summa cum laude.
I am not currently enrolled in classes. I am waiting to apply for the nursing program in May 2014.
