Initiated Young Heroes project which resulted in Qualitative research of youth ages 11-17 who attended public schools and were youthful offenders in need of a alternative to placement/ foster care when interviewed. These children were from diverse backgrounds and had different life experiences that we helped empower and nurture on a daily basis. Here we monitored and mentored these youth at the Belle community center. We transported them to all their appointment to (court, from school to the program to home every night, and all scheduled events for youth in program). We helped the youth with their homework, had team building exercises and did a community project every Monday-Friday. We had a large success rate of individuals complete the program and be integrated into society again while we had only two recidivist from our youth.
