Professional Summary

As the Assistant Director of Nursing I was exposed to many facets of Grafton County Nursing Home. I was able to gain knowledge of the scheduling and staffing process. I worked closely with the nursing team to build rapport and trust with residents and staff. I was provided an opportunity to learn the electronic charting system and act as a super user for this as it was introduced into the facility. I participated with the Medical Director to review and reduce antipsychotic drug use within the facility, providing education and developing tools for nursing to use to address complex behaviors linked to dementia, Parkinson's, and other neurological disorders. In the last 10 months of my tenure as the ADON I served as the Interim Director of Nursing, deepening my knowledge of this position as well as identifying areas where I could grow in my leadership role.
