My association with FEMA extends back over 19 years. I came to FEMA from a career as a Licensed General Building Contractor and Real Estate Developer. Starting in Individual Assistance as a Quality Control Housing Inspector my experiences have varied with over 42 deployments. Iserved as an expert on the policy of 406 Hazard Mitigation in meetings before local and state officials and presented Floodplain Management briefings to large audiences; ensured that the mission goals and time-lines are met for the programs; coordinated with Federal State, and local agencies on complex issues; I have experience in implementing, developing and executing the various forms the Hazard Mitigation programs take.

Currently deployed to New York for Hurricane Sandy. I will assume the responsibility of Branch III 406 Lead next week.The work supports Public Assistance Project Specialists as they gather data for project work sheets. I have participated in 44 Kick-Off Meetings, 28 site visits and prepared Hazard Mitigation Proposals when feasible. I am also coaching three FEMA trainees.
