Waste Water Treatment Plant Supervisor, 06/1995 - Current
Shelter Insurance – Weldon Spring, MO, Since 1995, I have overseen the operation and maintenance of the 2.99 million gallon per day waste water treatment plant. I currently supervise 6 full time operators, 1 part time maintenance helper and I am the supervisor of record for the instrumentation/chlorination department which is currently staffed by one person. My personnel management duties also include providing payroll information to HR weekly, establishing operational objectives and delegating assignments to my operators and completing performance reviews annually offering praise and recommendations for improvement.
I have acted as project manager on behalf of Holley Navarre Water for three multimillion dollar plant expansion projects. I am also responsible for the development of our current operations as well as maintenance record keeping program, some of which have been shared by the Department of Environmental Protection with other utility companies throughout the state.
In 2011 we brought an additional treatment facility on-line in Holley. The treatment capacity of this facility is small but the responsibility and reporting requirements are the same as the larger plant. My staff and I met this challenge with no additional man power.
