Professional Summary
I am a seasoned professional with ever-increasing levels of responsibility and nearly twenty years of demonstrated performance in management duties, establishing streamlined protocol and tracking large programs to conclusion.  My desire has always been to bring an efficient proactive approach to the operation and maintenance of the Waste Water system at Holley Navarre while maintaining a healthy relationship between the employees and the administration.  My management goals are to increase operational efficiency and streamline procedures while maintaining strict adherence to sound environmental practices.  I believe that these are the things that are expected of us by the Board of Directors and the members who have entrusted them to act as their voice.
Work History
Waste Water Treatment Plant Supervisor, 06/1995 - Current
Shelter Insurance Weldon Spring, MO, Since 1995, I have overseen the operation and maintenance of the 2.99 million gallon per day waste water treatment plant.  I currently supervise 6 full time operators, 1 part time maintenance helper and I am the supervisor of record for the instrumentation/chlorination department which is currently staffed by one person.  My personnel management duties also include providing payroll information to HR weekly, establishing operational objectives and delegating assignments to my operators and completing performance reviews annually offering praise and recommendations for improvement.

I have acted as project manager on behalf of Holley Navarre Water for three multimillion dollar plant expansion projects.  I am also responsible for the development of our current operations as well as maintenance record keeping program, some of which have been shared by the Department of Environmental Protection with other utility companies throughout the state.

In 2011 we brought an additional treatment facility on-line in Holley.  The treatment capacity of this facility is small but the responsibility and reporting requirements are the same as the larger plant.  My staff and I met this challenge with no additional man power.
Contract Management Trainer, 11/2011 - Current
Epic Municipal Infrastructure Training City, STATE, This is an annual contract position that I do once per year.  I began with the Ontario Good Roads Association in 2011 and when the training program transferred to Epic Municipal Infrastructure Training in 2012 they picked my services back up there.

I provide a week long training course to utility management personnel covering topics specifically outlined by the Province as well as common sense management practices.  The final day of the course is usually a "round table" type discussion in which I learn as much as they do from different situations in utilities all over North America.
Collections System Tech., 06/1993 - 06/1995
Coastal Services/Holley Navarre Water System, Inc. City, STATE, In 1993 I began my employment for Holley Navarre Water System through the contract company that operated and maintained the waste water collections system as well as the waste water treatment facilities.  My duties included pump station maintenance, residential grinder station installation and maintenance and all associated electrical maintenance pertaining to this equipment.  I was also involved with the construction of gravity and low pressure sewer systems and their associated taps.
Vocational Education Teacher, 06/1990 - 06/1991
Santa Rosa County School System City, STATE, I taught Auto Painting and Detailing at Milton High School.  At the time, my college course work was leaning towards a career in education.  I had extensive experience in the auto body field from working in my Dad's shop for most of my life so this was an excellent opportunity to get into the system.

This position was terminated because funding for many high school vocational programs was lost.  The auto mechanic and auto body programs were closed at that time.
Insurance Agent, 1987 - 09/1989
Independent Life Insurance Company City, STATE, I was a licensed life and health as well as commercial fire insurance agent.  I serviced the area of Northern Santa Rosa County and had accounts in Okaloosa and Escambia Counties.  My duties included customer service tasks such as filing claims and the collection of premiums and writing new business as needed.
