I am a Vice President of a multi-million dollar retail and contract furniture business in San Francisco and Detroit
with over 16 years of experience in the retail and commercial design field. I can proudly say that I have cultivated a nurturing and collaborative environment with my team and all of our vendor partners where everyone feels heard and this has refined our customer-centric approach where we are able to retain our staff, vendors, and clients. I also work well under stress and chaos because I am an organizer by nature. Knowing that we were going to be shut down due to COVID 19 and that our leads were going to be reduced significantly, I was able to conceptualize and project manage our introduction to our highly successful virtual showrooms and quick ship selection two days after the shutdown. These two hyperlinks have allowed us to amass leads on a daily basis and allow us to keep all the staff employed. Lastly, what I can bring to the team are humor, passion, and humility. Humor is important because it enables us to work through harrowing situations. My passion for design has me searching for ways to redesign spaces where they can be both buzz-worthy and where they can enrich the lives of people who live and work in them. I believe humility is the sign of a good leader and designer, one's ego needs to be set aside in order to hear what everyone has to say about a particular project. This enables the essence of collaboration to thrive and where the design project can flourish.
