I am a retired elementary school teacher who has worked part and full time all of my working life. I have extensive training in merchandising gained through working at Joann's Fabrics and Crafts and American Greeting Card Company, where I currently and will continue to work as a merchandiser. I am looking to add another part-time job to my work week.
I was a part time worker with Joann's. My responsiblities included waiting on guests, measuring fabric, running a register, stocking merchandise, helping receive weekly merchandise truck. I was also sent to other stores within the company to help with getting stock out and preparing for inventories.
I was promoted to RTL which involved managing the backroom, the warehouse truck and daily deliveries, and acting as MOD. I trained team members, put out stock, set POGs, and ran a crew responsible for putting out stock.
