Hi, my name is Casey Evans, nice to meet you, I am about to tell you a little about myself. After school, I decided to take on a job at JP Smith Lumber company where I worked for 2 years. This is where I learned a lot about the different types of lumber and equipment.
After I left the lumber company I went to work for a company called Trans Artic where I learned how to install air conditioning, radios, windows, and doors on school buses.
After Trans Artic, I went to work for a company called F & P of Georgia; where I learned how to assemble car frames. My dad taught me how to weld, but F & P is where I continued to learn about welding.
After F & P, I went to work at Mohawk; this is where I learned about the different types of carpet and a lot about loading a trailer.
I went to work at Lowe's Distribution after Mohawk. Since I have worked for Lowe's I have worked in every department; such as, shipping, receiving, building, appliances, planning, and yard truck. The yard truck department taught me how to drive a truck and back the trucks into the bay at Lowe's.
Throughout my life, I have had size jobs; this is where I became a Jack of all trades and learned how to build homes, roofing, electrical, plumbing, how to pour concrete drives, and rockwork.
I learned how to drive heavy equipment; such as, boom trucks, bulldozers, track loaders, and back holes.
During the years, I have also learned how to do mechanic work and can use any type of power equipment tools. I have done lock out tag out procedures for every company I have worked for. We are all big on safety.
When I worked at Mohawk I did the following for my job title:
*I loaded carpet on the trucks.
*I inspected all the carpets for any issues.
*It was my job to load the carpet on the roller.
*I helped to lay the latex on the back of the carpet.
*It was my job to not only clean out the latex containers, but to change the different types out as well.
*I am certified and can operate a forklift, pole Hyster, and squeeze.
