Objective

Team Lead and Implementation Consultant seeking a new remote position with a heavier focus on hard skills, rather than a position with an even focus on both hard and soft skills. Ideally seeking a position that will provide a challenge while broadening my hard skills. An ideal position would be one that allows full ownership of work from early drafting stages to maintenance stages, and would fall into an area of personal interest however this is not required.

  • Conduct weekly meetings with Team Members to determine any issues that may need resolved, including guiding Team Members in the right direction to resolve their issues, create notes and to dos to assist them with their work, and reviewing their work to ensure system architecture compliance and minimize bug introduction
  • Work with agency employees and reports of discovered bugs to assess the recreation, debugging and correcting issues across various subsystems for the Driver and Vehicles Services systems
  • Utilization and improvement of various “Help” documents to assist both future Developers and Client Employees alike
  • Discover system architecture noncompliance points and upgrade them to allow for correct design utilization and improved system flexibility

  • Manage intern employees and assist them with their assignments, ranging from teaching them system architecture, FAST best practices, nudging them where to look to discover new techniques and reviewing all their work
  • Coached and mentored client agency’s employees, Area Managers in order to ensure thorough understanding of the system, while maintaining close relations with these individuals
  • Created a demo under the direction of the Project Manager, Tech Lead, and Architect to compete for a contract against several other large companies for a government project
  • Create several file processes (XML, Texted spacing format, and Excel files) that are relayed via FTP from various other government agencies ranging from receiving applicant data for the “Basic Income Program” (active July 2018 – March 2019) and the “Portable Housing Program” (July 2018 – Present) to transmitting data records to additional agencies, and keeping data synced across various agencies
  • Renovate mail processing code from the old Active Report templates to the new PDF templates. New engine including custom created features that allow editing most, if not everything without the need to edit code via configuration settings
  • Support and develop in the Site’s custom Visually Impaired Persons (VIP) system for our blind Government Clients, allowing them to utilize a screen reader and combinations of keyboard shortcuts to allow them to utilize the financial debt information of indebted Tax Payers
  • Develop and improve subsystems for auditing taxpayers’ and benefit recipients’ financial records and systematically find data inconsistencies over long periods of time. These processes including screens populated with proprietary data and complex formulas to calculate fees and various penalties for roughly 20 types of Tax and Benefits programs. This system also included specialty tools that include the ability to “check out” a tax payer to a tablet for auditing offices in remote regions and record data without an internet connection before “checking in” the customer’s data and storing it back into the mainstream system
  • Trouble shoot and resolve issues in varying parts of the system that may have been dormant for long periods of time by tracing the stacks until the underlying problem is located
  • Maintain relations with all Client Agency Employees and assist them with questions from their employees while swiftly fixing any issues that arise in short time frames, and maintaining all above mentioned systems using Visual Basic and SQL Server in conjunction with the proprietary “FAST Code Repository” (FCR)

  • • Assist in the conversion of the system from Gentax Verision 8 (Desktop Silverlight application created in Visual Basic and SQL) to Gentax Version 10 (Web based application created in Visual Basic and SQL)
  • Utilized and assisted in corrected conversion scripts provided from the Head Quarter’s developers to restructure the V8 Name and Address database tables into the new V10 table structures in order to allow for the system to maintain higher data integrity and allow for storage of older records into fragmented binary databases to maintain lighter weight data retrieval across the system
  • Consult with various Agency employees to determine the main business processes required by specialized subsystems in order to be able to convert and implement the processes more efficiently within the new system version
  • Renovate the mail processing code from the old Active Report templates (Depreciated in Gentax Version 11) to the new PDF templates (Gentax Version 9+) in order to function in future versions as the site continually upgrades
  • Created conversion scripts to restructure data that wasn’t system architecture compliant, which evaluated and corrected 1.4 million tax payer’s data records
  • Manually reviewed roughly 75,000 configuration database entries related to the main Version 8’s Customer Springboard to ensure all processes have been replicated in the new Version 10 system
  • Maintain positive Client relations with various Agency employees, ranging from mail processing facility employees, to Agency Developers and Agency payment collection and registration review employees
