Additional Information

Additional information on myself is that I am a charismatic, compassionate person who always wakes up and tries to be better than the day before. I encourage myself to get through learning curves, pushing through daunting tasks or duties as one will not grow if they stay in their comfort zone. I was the first person to attend college in my family, as well as paid for it through scholarships and awarded grants, with always the thought in my mind that I want to show others who grew up in my situation that it is possible to better your life and to break out of a cycle that you think you will forever be stuck in. I will be graduating with a 3.94 GPA, making the honor roll every semester at my university. From this, I was extended membership to multiple honor societies and was able to connect with students who were also in my position across the nation.

I organized and founded a feminist club at my school, inviting both men and women to attend and to learn and grow with one another as we can only work towards a better future if everyone is on the same page. I have also been involved with the charity for St. Jude hospital, throwing events and fundraisers with my sorority Tri Delta, and in one year we raised over $25,000 for the organization. A major goal in my life is not to just be successful but have the people around me be so as well. Taking an outside look at challenges and applying both analytical and humanistic approaches help initiatives and programs work cohesively, as well as achieve their goals in mind.

Along with juggling academics and working 20 plus hours a week at my job, I interned for my student legal service program as well as held a position as an executive for my sorority, which I joined for the sisterhood and values they held themselves to. The student legal service program not only trained me for the professional world and built my skills with data systems and legal forms but was able to spread the word for free legal consultations to university students. Building bridges between others and having extensive problem-solving skills is what I would claim a specialty of mine. I embrace adversity and the unknowns as that is a huge factor within life, always pushing to myself to keep learning and evolving. These credentials and universal perspective make me a perfect candidate as a program analyst, as it is needed into today's world employees like myself to apply unique approaches to various situations and organizations.
